About Vintage Chase Tracker

A free, Bloomberg-style terminal for the vintage Pokémon card market — no login, no paywall, no affiliate pricing.

Vintage Chase Tracker (VCT) tracks 288 chase cards across every Wizards of the Coast set (1999–2003), all 27 Gold Star cards (2004–2007), the Poncho Pikachu promos and the sealed booster boxes, and turns them into price indexes the way an equity index provider would: fixed weights, a published base, documented constituents, an audit log.

The one rule

Every price is a documented sale or a live listing that has been opened and read. Marks come from eBay sold listings (via PriceCharting), Card Ladder last sales and auction-house results (Fanatics Collect, Heritage, Goldin). Live asks and bids are re-verified on their own pages every eight hours; a listing whose title does not name the card, grade and edition is dropped. When a number cannot be traced to a dated sale it is shown as "—" rather than estimated. The data log records what changed on every run.

Who

Built and run by an independent collector with a background in finance, as a hobby project. It is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, PSA, PriceCharting, Card Ladder, eBay or any auction house, and it does not sell cards or take referral fees. Entertainment and research only — nothing here is investment advice.
